What are your views on the general principles of the Bill and the need for legislation to deliver the Welsh Government’s stated policy objective (to make the Senedd a more effective legislature by ensuring it is broadly representative of the gender make-up of the population)?

1. It should be SEX based not gender because (presumably) this policy is aimed at addressing long standing SEX discrimination

2. Self-identification is defeats the objective of addressing SEX discrimination - women, real women, experience discrimination due to their physiological differences from men, real men, differences which mean they are marginalised from positions of influence due to their biological roles in reproduction, carrying children and the real menopause.

3. Women, real women, have a proven different neurological composition of their brain to men. If you allow men to masquerade as women and secure representation as a woman in the senedd you are failing to introduce the real differences in thinking patters which exist between the sexes, so why do it? https://stanmed.stanford.edu/how-mens-and-womens-brains-are-different/

4. This proposal is discrediting the valuable and unique role of women in society by conflating them with men.

What are your views on the system of enforcement and potential sanctions for non-compliance proposed in the Bill?

This is simply such a muddled proposal "This statement will be used as the basis for enforcing the rules" v "they would not undertake any investigation into whether the information provided by a candidate is correct" What on earth is the point of it then?

Are there any potential barriers to the implementation of the Bill’s provisions? If so, what are they, and are they adequately taken into account in the Bill and the accompanying Explanatory Memorandum and Regulatory Impact Assessment?

Are any unintended consequences likely to arise from the Bill?

Yes.

1. You will destroy the confidence of real women in the senedd's commitment to remove sex discrimination in society and ensure protection of protected characteristics as defined in the Equality Act 2010 - self-identification is not a protected characteristic

2. Less capable people could get elected

3. You could reduce diversity of thought because trans-women could be elected instead of real women meaning that you entrench male thinking patterns

What are your views on the Welsh Government’s assessment of the financial and other impacts of the Bill?

A complete waste of my taxes bringing this forward

What are your views on the balance between the information contained on the face of the Bill and what is left to subordinate legislation? Are the powers for Welsh Ministers to make subordinate legislation appropriate?

Until you recognise the that women have unique biological chromosome and physiological differences to men, then all of this legislation is confused and subject to judicial review.

Do you have any views on matters relating to the legislative competence of the Senedd including compatibility with the European Convention on Human Rights?

This is a reserved matter, thank heavens, and the senedd should not be legislating on it

Do you have any views on matters related to the quality of the legislation, or to the constitutional or other implications of the Bill?

This will discredit the senedd internationally

Are there any other issues that you would like to raise about the Bill and the accompanying Explanatory Memorandum or any related matters?

I am now ashamed to be Welsh, this is an ideologically driven proposal which puts Sex Discrimination back decades

Anything else?
